Every Woman Matters
Every Woman Matters (EWM) is a program of the Nebraska Department of Health and Human Services that can help women get health check-ups. Every Woman Matters may, based on income and eligibility guidelines, pay for women to receive Breast and Cervical Cancer Screenings, and Heart Disease and Diabetes Screenings.
Along with income eligibility requirements, women must be Nebraska residents between 40-74 years old whose health insurance would not pay for these preventative services:
- Pelvic exam
- Pap test
- Clinical breast exam
- Teaching of breast self exam
- Blood pressure check
- Cholesterol check
- Blood sugar (glucose) check
- Health and wellness information for living a healthier life
