The ACA was enacted to increase the quality and affordability of health insurance, lower the uninsured rate by expanding public and private insurance coverage, and reduce the costs of health care for individuals and the government.
Dates to remember: Annual Open-Enrollment period is November 1, 2016 through January 31, 2017. Coverage can begin as early as January 1, 2017 if you enroll by December 15, 2016. Special enrollment periods (SEP) are for certain circumstances during the year.
